Lindsay McGregor is an expert in human capital and organizational culture. She has worked with everyone from Fortune 500 companies to schools to help them create and hone legendary cultures.

Lindsay McGregor is the co-author of the New York Times and Wall Street Journal Bestseller Primed to Perform: How to Build the Highest Performing Cultures Through the Science of Total Motivation. She, alongside her husband Neel Doshi, is also the co-founder of Vega Factor, a firm focused on building the tools, technology, and training required to help organizations build the highest performing cultures.

Why we work determines how well we work: this is the fundamental principle behind Primed to Perform and Vega Factor, supported by decades of research across hundreds of organizations and individuals. Lindsay McGregor’s work illuminates the reasons for why we work (collectively called “total motivation”), how they affect our performance, and how companies can better align their employees’ motives with their mission statement in order to create a high-performing culture. These principles can be used to predict everything from athlete resilience to high school drop-out rates to customer satisfaction.

Before writing Primed to Perform, Lindsay worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Co., a substitute teacher, and a non-profit employee. Lindsay received her Bachelor’s from Princeton University, where she studied English Literature, and her M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. She currently resides in New York City with her husband, Neel.
