The Future of Work is Entrepreneurial

  • Bree Langemo, Director of Entrepreneurship & Associate Professor of Law & Entrepreneurship, Concordia College

The world is changing in ways that now require everyone to think and act like an entrepreneur. To do so, we must move beyond a common myth: that only a "select few" are cut out for entrepreneurial roles. Instead, by encouraging entrepreneurial behavior throughout our organizations and ecosystems, we will discover more engaging and effective ways of working, living, and learning in this rapidly changing environment.

Participants who attend this webcast will be able to:

  • Understand the new world of work and the need to be entrepreneurial whether you launch something new, work for an existing organization, or join the gig economy.
  • Redefine entrepreneurship as a mindset, a framework for thinking and acting that can empower us to be adaptable, flexible, and resourceful in the face of change.
  • Define the key constructs behind the entrepreneurial mindset and identify how entrepreneurs leverage adversity and persist through challenges, setbacks, and self-doubt.
  • Effectively nurture entrepreneurial talent and behavior in our organizations to drive engagement, innovation, and new value creation.

All achieve Engagement webcasts are free and pre-approved for both HRCI and SHRM-CP credits, most are worth 1 credit hour. Live webcast attendees will be sent an email highlighting the credit codes and resources after the event. OnDemand viewers of the webcast will be able to find the credit codes and download resources at the conclusion of viewing the webcast.
