Kaisa Wieneke, MPH, is a nationally respected leader in employee well-being, mental health strategy, and organizational resilience, serving as the Director of Employee Well-Being at Mayo Clinic—one of the world’s most renowned healthcare institutions. She is also an Assistant Professor of Healthcare Administration at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, where she contributes to shaping the future of healthcare leadership.

For over a decade, Kaisa has led transformative people strategy and employee experience initiatives for Mayo Clinic’s 73,000+ healthcare workers across all sites. Her work centers on creating a holistic, human-centered approach to employee well-being, fostering joy in healthcare, and building a culture of gratitude, recognition, and psychological safety.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kaisa led a cross-functional, multidisciplinary response team focused on expanding mental health and emotional well-being support for Mayo Clinic staff. Her leadership resulted in a comprehensive strategy to reduce stigma, enhance access to care, streamline navigation of support resources, and introduce new care models tailored to the evolving needs of a high-demand, high-impact workforce.
